Hiring is OPEN for trainees and associates at our Sacramento offices. The position for a Trainee is a volunteer position. The position for an Associate can be paid or volunteer.

Hiring will remain open until all positions are filled. The interview will be attending one of our regular group supervisions where we can see how you like the group, how you fit in, and how you participate. You will be asked to bring a sample case presentation, either one you have worked with (changing names for confidentiality) or one you make up, and present it to the group as you would in a real supervision with a question regarding that case that you would have for your supervisor. The interview will take place at our main location, 3820 Auburn Blvd. Ste. 100, Sac 95821.

More Info on the Position:

This is a Volunteer Training Program for trainees and associates that don’t qualify for the paid positions, or a paid position for those associates that do qualify. For either type of position you get to learn what private practice is like, the business side of private practice, hands on training performing psychotherapy with clients, weekly supervision, in-house trainings and workshops, ability to co-facilitate and learn how to run DBT Groups, ability to run any other group you are interested in running, and more. The duties include performing individual, family, couples, or child therapy. Therapists are to maintain a professional atmosphere and uphold all legal and ethical standards. Therapists will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, implement interventions and techniques, and maintain confidential client records. The hours are flexible, however, the main time slots that we serve are evenings and weekends. You are free to be creative with your therapeutic process while discussing with the supervisor. One two-hour group supervision per week is included and mandatory. This is an amazing opportunity for those who have full time jobs to begin learning about private practice and building your clientele all before you are licensed.

Bi/Multi-Lingual is a huge plus.
